Our Nurses and Lactation Consultants

Our nurses play an essential role in our mission to provide excellent care. Among their contributions, our nurses staff our advice line – when you have a question about your child’s health, they are available by phone to answer questions and offer guidance. When you come to our office, our nurses perform many highly visible tasks beginning with bringing you back to an exam room. Our nurses do vision screens on patients as young as 3 years old and hearing screens beginning at 4 years old.

Pediatric nurses are well-known for such unpopular duties as “finger pricks” and “shots” (blood draws and injections). Please do not refer to them as “mean nurses” – they are far from that. Our nurses don’t like anyone to be upset, and we are grateful for how they handle a tough job that is very important to your child’s health. Two of our nurses are certified lactation consultants and are both capable and happy to work with breastfeeding Moms.
